Here is our selection of Jib Reefing/Furling Systems from Schaefer. SnapFurl Systems are perfect for trailerable sailboats in the 16-28 foot range. They feature a double race of Torlon™ ball bearings in the upper swivel and the lower drum. Round, PVC foils, which can be installed over existing headstays, ease mast raising and lowering.
Schaefer's robust Rigid Furling Systems are designed for sailboats from 27 to 55 feet. Powerful, large diameter drums provide the mechanical advantage required for high sailing loads. These open drums are split and removable, which allows easy conversions for racing. Torlon™ bearings ride in open, easily accessible races that require only occasional freshwater lubrication. Round, twin-groove luff extrusions allow quick sail changes while racing or dual wing-on-wing headsails while sailing downwind.
Note: Schaefer Rigid Furling Systems come without Sta-Lok™ or Toggle fittings and are designed for rod or pre-swaged wire headstays that are typically assembled by a professional rigger.
